Daily Bread is operated by Just Live LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Last updated: June 7, 2026.
Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed (not readable) version of your password.
Journal entries: The text you write in your private journal is encrypted on our servers using a key derived from your credentials. Just Live LLC cannot read your journal content.
Fellowship & community posts: If you join the Fellowship Hall or a Church Hall, the content you post there is visible to other members of that community.
Usage data: We collect basic technical information such as your device type and IP address for security and service operation. We do not use analytics tracking services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not use ad networks or tracking pixels. We do not collect location data.
When you tap "Reflect with Scripture," the text of your journal entry is sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude AI) to generate a personalized reflection, Bible study, and prayer. This is the core feature of the app.
Anthropic processes this content under their API terms and privacy policy. Your journal text is sent securely over HTTPS and is not used to train Anthropic's models under their current API terms.
Your journal entry is encrypted and stored on our servers after processing. Just Live LLC does not retain a readable copy.
Your private journal entries are encrypted before being stored. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in readable form.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password.
Daily Bread uses the following third-party services to operate:
Each service operates under their own privacy policy. We share only the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
Your account and journal entries are retained as long as your account is active. Community posts remain visible to community members until deleted by you or removed by an admin.
If you delete your account, your personal data and private journal entries are deleted. Some anonymized data (such as anonymous community posts you chose to post anonymously) may remain.
Daily Bread requires users to be at least 13 years of age. Users between 13 and 17 have additional protections — their accounts are not discoverable in community search and are subject to stricter content moderation. See our Terms of Service for details.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us immediately.
Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: You may update your name and email through the app settings.
Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at contact@justlive.llc.
Push notifications: You can opt out of push notifications at any time through your device settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
